Balance Work and Life

These are the tips and advice that I would share with young and older women who want to be entrepreneurs – I didn’t start my first business until I was 47 years old.

• Firstly, its never too late or too early – as I say, I started my first business when I was 47 but probably should have done so, 20 years earlier.

• Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t achieve. Believe in yourself and your abilities, don’t let others define your worth or potential.

• Build a network, seek out mentors and role models who inspire and support you, and who will share their advice and connections. You don’t have to do it alone, and you can learn from those who have been there before.

• Be adaptable and flexible, be open to learning new skills, exploring new ideas, and embracing new challenges. Sometimes you will need to adjust plans and strategies according to the changing circumstances and demands of your work.

• Be resilient and persistent, don’t give up easily or let failures or setbacks discourage you. Learn from mistakes and feedback, use them to improve as you strive for excellence in your work.

• Last, but not least, have balance and harmony in work and life. Do not neglect your health, well-being, or personal relationships for the sake of work. Find time to relax, recharge, and enjoy hobbies and interests. Appreciate and be grateful for the things and people that make you happy and fulfilled.

Align Success with Joy

My biggest advice is to get very comfortable with your view on success and ensure you know what brings you joy and lights you up. Feeling strongly about what you personally view as success will ensure that you are not swayed by what others define as success. Remember that just meeting a definition of success may not make you happy unless you align your definitions of happiness and success with your own inner feelings. Don’t be afraid to take a leap and some risks on yourself once you have alignment with where you want to place your passions. No one can take that passion, which will fuel you through the low periods.

Katrina Purcell, Founder, Katrina Purcell LLC

Prioritize Self-Care

Take care of yourself first. My journey in caring for my dad was a profound journey for me and put my business and my own life at risk. My advice is to take caring for yourself very seriously because without you thriving your business cannot thrive.

Cheryl LeBarr, Founder, MADE Apparel

Inspire and Motivate Yourself

Every woman during her life would like to pursue her career which inspires her or makes her believe in herself. Never stop doing that. Keep moving forward and keep motivating others to do the same. Learning from failures, celebrating small wins, and keep refining your ideas. Consistency is the key…

Somya Goel, Founder, SOHII Innoqlife Pvt Ltd

Believe in yourself

I Would just say Believe in yourself . Woman, have a special God Gift of multi tasking and planning . Woman generally rely on Fathers , Brothers and Husbands , but I am sure once you stop relying and start taking things in your hand , you perform better than Fathers , Brothers and Husbands and they become proud of you

Bhumika Iyer, Founder, Kalibre Global Konnects Pvt Ltd

Believe, Seek Help, and Stay Flexible

Yes, there's advice I want to share with young women starting or running their own businesses.

Believe in yourself and your ideas. Don't hesitate to ask for help or guidance. Be flexible and ready to change. And most importantly, take care of yourself while chasing your dreams.

Endurance and Authenticity

Endurance and remaining true to yourself is what will help you scale heights.

Dr. J.V Manisha Bajaj, Founder, Harikrit Films

Prioritize Work-Life Balance

Do not forget to have sometime for yourself. Work life balance is as important as achieving your dreams

Focus on Strengths and Trust Instincts

My top piece of advice is to focus on your strengths, trust your instincts, and surround yourself with people who support and believe in you.

"Embrace Courage and Continuous Learning"

I have 4 key points that I have kept in mind during my time as an entrepreneur.

1. It is easier than you think.

2. If you truly want to be a successful entrepreneur become comfortable with being courageous.

3. Find small consistent ways to push yourself our of comfort zone.

4. Invest in yourself regularly by looking for opportunities to learn new things.
