Plan and Leap

Pursue your passion. To anyone thinking about taking the leap from a corporate role to starting your own business, it’s all in the planning. If you have an idea that you can’t stop thinking about, take the leap. Plan how you’re going to support yourself through the transition but don’t let it hold you back from getting started. Leverage your network where you can, it’s a massive learning curve at the beginning but people are very willing to offer their help if you ask for it.

Start and Never Give Up

To all the young women aspiring to be entrepreneurs or already carving their paths in the entrepreneurial world, I offer this simple yet powerful advice: Just start, and never give up. Don't wait for the perfect moment or the perfect plan. Start with what you have, where you are, and trust in your abilities to learn, adapt, and grow along the way. Embrace failure as a natural part of the process, recognizing that each setback is an opportunity for learning and refinement. Believe in yourself and your vision, even when others may doubt or discourage you. Surround yourself with mentors, peers, and supporters who uplift and inspire you to reach greater heights. Seek out knowledge, continuously educate yourself, and never stop pursuing your passions with unwavering determination.

Build a Support Network

Entrepreneurship is a glamorous word but in reality it is a hard, grueling and often lonely journey. Find your support network that you can count on - whether that's a partner, family, friends, a coach or a therapist. There is nothing wrong with seeking support, and it's crucial for success!

Leverage Your Background

Think about how your unique background and experience can help inform an industry that may be new to you. For example, I leverage my media and marketing expertise in the world of Recruitment Marketing all of the time. This is about diversity of perspectives, operational understanding of different business structures, and for me the passion I identified is to find a problem to get passionate about solving. Jobs are the backbone of our country, and we all need them to survive, which is why I personally can identify with our mission.

Katie Fortunato, Founder, RecruitmentMarketing.com

Believe in Your Offering

Don't let anyone discourage you. Sometimes it's better not to tell people your plans. If you want it enough, there's always a way. Only worry about the thing you can control and let go of the rest.

Tracy Cook, Founder, Blue Beam Marketing

Destiny is Your Choice

The power to succeed is within themselves. The path is hard but worthy. Being independent and creating valuable solutions for the world is something that will greatly impact your lives forever. It will give meaning to your life, no matter the hard work and obstacles that will be present.

Maria Camila Munoz, Founder, Exponencial

Passion Fuels Progress

Trust your gut and don't get so attached to what you've done that you're unable to pivot and adapt.

Megan Vaughan, Founder, Vaughan Cheese Counter & Bar

Find Your Passion

The society will always set rules for you at all ages. Do not listen to anyone just follow your dreams.

Dhanya Menon, Founder, Neptune Excellence

Bravery, Learning, and Attitude

“Be brave, don’t let others’ judgements take over your willpower. Be a good learner and listener, work hard and believe in yourself and those you serve.” A wise lady I met at an online art shop once told me “When God gives a lemon, it is up to you to make it into a tasty lemonade or complain about its sourness and bitterness.” When you change your attitude, you change your altitude.

Love What You Do

just continue and you should love what you do and you will not notice you grow and monetary reward or profit will follow. Just keep grinding!
